Our Mission
These children attend a Foundation-assisted school in a remote river valley near Cumaná.
We are active in the following areas:
- Health and Women
- Providing health care services, with an emphasis on reproductive health, family planning, and rural hygiene.
- Education and Children
- Developing educational initiatives that serve students in remote rural areas and marginal urban barrios, including educational and cultural programs at our rural Casa Barrancas Community Center.
- Sustainable Agriculture
- Encouraging agricultural practices that preserve local ecosystems and promote sustainable livelihoods for rural residents.
- Alternative Rural Resources
- Installing solar energy for electricity and gravity-piped drinking water systems in remote areas where there is no access to public utilities.
- Animal Welfare
- Safeguarding stray, domestic and farm animals, and preserving wildlife and wildlife habitat.
- Cultural Preservation
- Preserving and documenting the cultural and agricultural traditions of our area.
