Health and Social Services
Clockwise from top: Staff and clients at the public Nurucual Ambulatorio (walk-in clinic); Clients at the public Julio Rodriguez Hospital in Cumaná with Dr. Maria Eugenia Yañez, the Foundation’s director of reproductive health; Clients at the rural Ambulatorio at Barrancas.
The Foundation opened its first family planning clinic in 1997 at the public hospital in Cumanacoa. We now assist an extended network of public and private health care facilities in three contiguous state counties. The Foundation is in close touch with the medical staff at each site, and supplements family planning materials and personnel as necessary to maintain and enhance reproductive health services for the public.
